Safety Hall Of Shame: Dishonorable Mention

We wanted to show you the faces of some of the most dangerous people in our society. Thousands die, untold thousands more are injured while these bureaucrats were more concerned about their jobs than the people we entrusted their safety to. To paraphrase Ms. Row, our job is to build the roads, not supervise compliance with our safety standards! Mr. Huckabee instructed FHWA safety compliance personnel to ignore complaints of non compliance and not to act. To stop the lack of oversight complaints, they oversaw the removal of federal safety standards to thwart future challenges of oversight negligence, non compliance or due process violations by government entities. This mind set of indifference to public safety or to the grave consequences to the general welfare of the citizens is endemic throughout USDOT policies and practices.
